In partnership with businesses, I’ve delivered over 40 e-learning projects covering orthopedic education (think trabecular metal, rods, hips, knees). These modules featured visuals, animations, 3D renderings, and more—all in line with company guidelines. We brought complex learning to life within budget and always kept scope changes front and center before they derailed the process.
Years: 2008-2013
As the project manager and in some cases the designer, I ensured proper learning principles were applied to a college-level education. The modules comprised theme, branding, voiceover, movement, entertainment, and knowledge checks. These were completed within budget or addressed with scope change discussions.

From 2-day shipping and international orders to special rewards and email drip campaigns, we crafted tailored marketing strategies to engage customers and increase sales. And yes, we always kept it fun and focused.

With growth comes challenges: shipping in a timely manner, growing positive ratings, customer service addressing requests after hours, getting unique items, handling returns, developing scammer processes, same-day pickup, international rules and restrictions, and marketing this e-commerce shop. We constantly evaluated metrics and reviewed what levers to pull, all to create the best price with margin.

Carefree Boat Club
of Unsalted Lakes
As a new concept in West Michigan, Carefree Boat Club introduced the gym club model to boating. There are over 150 franchise locations. Members pay an initiation fee and monthly dues to use the boats in 1/2-day increments at their home locations and worldwide.
Year: 2022-2024
The company needed to be created as an LLC, with a brand, accounting system, phones, computers, website, SOPs, cashiering, boats, and employees. Powerpoint presentations, PDFs, process checklists, membership forms, boat check-out forms and more were all created to supplement the member's website and app for checking out boats.

Campaigns with audiences were identified, and budgets were spread across the seasonal peaks. The development included creating billboards, Google Ads, banners, flags, postcards, social posts, ads, and videos. Two years, two locations, seven boats, and 35 paying members later, the franchise continues to grow.
